It’s been 46 years since the Republic of Cameroon, often referred to as Africa in miniature, laid down the foundations for a multicultural society. To mark the occasion, the country’s Ambassador in the United States, Henri Etundi Essomba and his wife offered on Sunday,  May 20, 2018, a colorful diplomatic reception in Washington.
The event at Omni Shoreham Hotel, was attended by diplomats from several countries. Representatives of multilateral organizations, American civil society, Nationals of Cameroon and those interested in business development in the country were also in attendance. There was good food, beverage and entertainment.
Ambassador Essomba and the acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Stephanie S. Sullivan spoke at the ceremony which was covered by AlloAfricaNews.
