Congratulations and many more headways for Sergina Anaelle Mombouli, daughter of the Dean of African Diplomatic Corps in the United States. On Monday June 4, 2018, she graduated with High Honor from the prestigious Bullis High School, in Maryland. The Commencement Exercises took place in the Music Center at Strathmore, North of Bethesda in presence of more then 1700 people.
Parents Serge (father) and Stella Mombouli (mother), relatives and friends were also in attendance. Celebrities attending the ceremony included Mark Weinberger -the Global Chairman and CEO of EY whose 2 children also graduated from Bullis this year, and former NBA Star turned humanitarian, the Congolese born Dikembe Mutombo.
Miss Mombouli is now heading to the distinguished Boston University (BU), in Massachussetts, where she will be pursuing a degree in Economics by this Fall.
During a reception organized in her honor at the Ambassador official Residence in Potomac, Mr. Mombouli, a proud Dad, spoke with emotion about Sergina, a little girl looking like (une poupée) he still sees in cradle. He said he assisted in training for her first steps from the day she was born, from rolling over to sitting to crawling or scooting, to finally walking… a fantastic milestone he is not ready to forget. Papa Mombouli spoke in French. Let’s listen.
